Accessibility Statement

We want anyone to be able to read this site and book an air quality assessment, including people who use screen readers, navigate by keyboard, rely on magnification, or need reduced motion. If any part of this site keeps you from doing that, we treat it as a defect, not a preference.

We are working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

We want to be precise about that wording: this is a target we are actively working toward, not a claim that we have reached it. This site has not been audited by an independent accessibility firm, and we have not completed a full conformance evaluation. Saying otherwise would be easy and would be untrue.

• Semantic HTML with a single main landmark on every page, so assistive technology can skip straight to the content
• A "Skip to main content" link as the first item in the tab order
• Full keyboard operation of both forms, including the multi-step assessment wizard, where focus moves to each new step as you advance
• Form errors that are announced and programmatically tied to the field they describe, rather than merely sitting next to it
• Success confirmations announced to screen reader users, not just shown visually
• The mobile menu traps focus while open and closes on the Escape key, returning focus to the button that opened it
• Related checkboxes grouped so their shared label is announced with each option
• Animation and motion respect your operating system's reduced-motion setting
• Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology

We would rather list these than let you discover them. As of August 4, 2026:

• Some lighter text on dark backgrounds does not yet meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio Level AA requires. We have measured this across the site and are working through the list.
• One moving element on the home page has no on-page control to pause it. It does stop automatically if your operating system is set to reduce motion, but there is currently no button to stop it otherwise.
• The site has not been tested end to end with every major screen reader and browser combination.
• Some pages have not yet had a full independent accessibility audit.

This list is honest rather than complete — there may be problems we have not found yet. That is exactly what we would like you to tell us about.

If something on this site does not work for you, please tell us. You do not need to know why it is broken or use any particular terminology — describing what happened is enough. It helps if you can mention the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, but please get in touch either way.

We aim to respond within 5 business days. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will tell you where it stands and offer another way to get what you needed — including simply handling it over the phone.
